 The government of Kano compensated the firm $10 billion when it filed a lawsuit.


Following the destruction of the site by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on Saturday, a private company, Lamash Property Limited, which has a contract with the Kano State Government for the reconstruction of the Daula Hotel, has asked for compensation in the amount of 10 billion Naira.

Hassan Yusuf Baba, the company's managing director, said: "The terrible part is that we weren't told; we just got up and discovered that all the buildings had been demolished via social media. We will not sit back and accept the injustice that has occurred in our state; instead, we have finalized all preparations to file a lawsuit to protect our legal rights.


He complained about a man by the name of Dan Asabe Abubakar, who erected a complex of businesses in the Sukuwar Dawaki that includes a gymnasium, a doctor's laboratory, and other significant components. His structure was destroyed prior to the fall of the Daula Hotel and Hajj Camp. how he financed the project with more than 1.4 billion Naira.


He was enraged by the state government's disregard for the land use law in destroying public property.

In a statement headlined "GOVERNMENT DEMOLITION OF DAULA HOTEL: OUR STAND," signed by the board of directors on Sunday, Lamash Property Limited announced that it would file a lawsuit in court, seeking reimbursement for the 10 billion Naira already invested in the project as well as other damages.


The project was started under the administration of former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje on the basis of the PPP agreement, according to the company, which expressed surprise at how the new government of Kano would be able to demolish a multi-billion naira hotel owned by it.
