Tinubu has ordered the security agencies to prevent destruction in Kano state

Following his meeting with Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the former governor of Kano state, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stepped in to mediate the dispute between the state government of Kano and businessmen in the state over the dismantling of the state government.

To refresh your memory, Kano city Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf ordered the demolition of several buildings on Saturday night, including those located in the Daula Hotel and the Hajj camp.

Buildings with a combined value of several millions of naira have been leveled, including a market structure in the GRA neighborhood of Nasarawa that was three stories tall and included ninety businesses. The government decided the structures should not exist and ruled them unlawful.

On Saturday, Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his resolve to carry out his plan to continue tearing down structures that the state administration considers to be in violation of the law.

Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, who serves as the principal press secretary for the Kano state government, issued a statement indicating that the demolition work will go as planned.

Following the occurrence of this event, Governor Ganduje made a hasty trip to the presidential palace on Monday to meet with the president in order to provide him with an update on the situation in Kano state.

"Tinubu has given the order to stop the destruction, this is not appropriate, and it is causing loss to Nigerians," stated a source who desired to remain anonymous and said that Tinubu said this. The source also claimed that Tinubu mentioned this.

Additionally, President Tinubu demanded that the state's security forces put a stop to any attempt to carry on the devastation that has been going on in the state.

Tofa was questioned by a reporter from the newspaper Politicsdigest regarding the veracity of the information that was rumored to have originated from the presidential palace. In response, Tofa stated that "the destruction is still going on, and the government is determined to recover the public property that has been sold or looted."
