The new CEO of Nigerian Airlines made a dig

Nigerians have been waiting a long time for Nigeria Airlines to start, as promised by former head Muhammadu Buhari. This week, the new head of the company made a shocking announcement that has turned the situation into a nightmare.

Captain Dayo Olumide, the president of Nigerian Airlines, told the Senate Committee on Aviation Services that the plane that former President Muhammadu Buhari launched a few days ago is not one that Nigeria owns because it is rented. Ethiopia (Ethiopia) was taken from. A few days later, the colors were changed, and the body was written with the name "Nigeria Air" and the country's badge to trick Nigerians and stakeholders.

He said that if Nigeria is going to run the airline, its equipment must be registered with Nigeria and it must have a license, permission to work, and other things. He told the world that the plane, which was said to belong to Nigeria, had been borrowed for a few days and was now back in the hands of its owners.

How the Talk Got Started

The government of the country started the Nigerian Airline at the Nnamdi Azikiewe International Airport in Abuja less than three days after the Buhari administration ended.

In his statement at the launch, the former Minister of Transport, Hadi Sirika, said that the good relationship between Ethiopian Airlines and Nigeria, which is buying the airline, will help business between the two countries.

"This is one of the things that Nigeria's aviation industry is losing. In fact, we need this kind of plane, so we gave it the name "Nigeria Air Limited."

He said that people have been trying to get the plane since 2016, but this is the first time they have been successful. "So the plane will be here, and we will start flying it as best we can," Sirika said.

Most Nigerians were glad to hear that their country had an airplane. They thought this would help solve some problems, but alas, it didn't.

From where does it come?

Captain Dayo Olumide, who is the CEO of Nigerian Airlines, stated that the airline that started in Nigeria was not registered. He said that the plane was taken from Ethiopia because it would only be there for a few days. Once the work was done on it, it was decided that it would be sent back to Ethiopia.

He also said that Nigeria has a license to own airports, which is one of two licenses that are needed before transportation actions can be done. He said that the country does not have permission to start doing business with airplanes, even though it already has its own plane.

He also said, "I will answer your question first before going on." Because its rent was taken, the ship that was brought back to where it came from.

"All of us here can take the flight route if we have a wedding in Senegal. You don't need to ask permission to do that. Just rent the plane, and the plane will pay for it. It will come right away, and you can pick up your guest and go on your way.

"We did these things. But it was started on this matter. Since 2018, everything you've seen with the name of the Nigerian plane is a picture or a drawing, not a real plane. I think it's time to start showing what the real plane will look like. We have clients who can put their money away for 10 to 15 years. So, they need to see how the ship really is instead of how they want it to be.

"So we came to show them the ship and how it should look. Then social media started to play a role.

"Ethiopia is the country that owns this plane. Why should he be on Ethiopia's list? If Nigeria is going to run its flight, it must be a flight with a Nigerian check dated November 5. But there is no check for November 5 on the plane because it was rented for a few days and then returned to its owner.

"If we want to get the license, which is my job, we have to do a few things. For example, we have to have at least three planes registered in Nigeria before the NCA will give us a license.

"Before getting a license, a person has to go through five steps. We've done the first and second steps, but the problem is that if you change what we call "post holders," which is a group of professionals like the director of maintenance and the chief pilot, and then go back to your plan, they will have to meet the board's standards again. But going back does not mean you did something wrong.

Yes, that is a change that is being made to the system.

"So, when this plane was chartered, that's when everyone found out we had launched a Nigerian plane."

Members of Congress have shown their concern

Senator Biodun Olujimi, who is in charge of the Senate committee, and Senator Smart Adeyemi both said that it is too bad that questions and worries have been brought up about the building of the Nigerian plane.

During the gathering, members of parliament also spoke out against what had been done, calling it fraud and fraud.

Nnolim Nnaji was worried after the most important people in Nigeria and Ethiopian Airlines said they didn't know about the plane's launch, which was said to have happened in Nigeria a few days ago.

The Nigerian Ministry of Transport said that the country only showed the plane and not the flight.

When the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NAMA) said that the plane with Nigerian flags was hired to Nigeria, members of the parliamentary committee were angry and worried.

Some people who talked about the NAMA said that Nigeria can change the color of the plane it rented to any color it wants.
