 Israel is free to deal with Hamas - British Defense Minister

Israel is free to "treat Hamas" according to the British Defense Secretary.

When asked if the British government supports Israel's warning that 1.1 million people leave northern Gaza within 24 hours, Grant Shapps told the BBC's Today program that it is important for Israel to explain before she takes action.

"It is a good thing to see that they provided information before (starting to attack), Hamas certainly did not do that, before it infiltrated and destroyed people," Shapps said.

He added that there are no details about Israel's plan, and President Biden has made it clear that there is a need for Israel to ensure that it acts in accordance with international law.

He also said that he ordered the deployment of ships, helicopters and airplanes to provide tracking services and collect information on the enemy's plans.

"Britain is trying to contribute to making sure it doesn't spread," Shapps said
