Numerous French citizens are protesting the pension bill.
This Tuesday, thousands of French citizens protested in the streets once more in opposition to President Emmanuel Macron's decision to change the pension laws.
Since January of last year, the French have staged similar protests 14 times.
Data indicate that 600,000 people attended the march today across France, which is fewer than the 1.28 million who turned up on March 7.
11,000 police personnel have been deployed by the French government, with 4,000 of them being stationed in Paris alone to keep an eye on the demonstrators today.
Since this morning, it has been evident that protesters opposed to the 2024 Olympic Athletics Games in Paris are trying to persuade National Assembly members to revoke President Macron's request that the pension legislation be changed.
There have been no reports of violence during this demonstration as of yet.
President Macron is confident that he won't back down and will put into effect the new law, which raises the retirement age from 62 to 64.
